It doesn't make anything noticeably better, and might cause performance degradation in some cases. Worse still, in my PC atleast, enabling it makes my overclock unstable in turn causing games to crash, so technically it's making every game perform worse because I can't use my overclock with HAGS turned on. I recommend keeping it turned off, which is the default setting.

HAGS is necessary for future latency improvements, since the old style uses the CPU for scheduling these tasks. Moving them onto a GPU-based scheduler reduces latency. Do note hardware and drivers differ in how well they utilize the new feature, which is why you see performance regressions. And why you can turn it off.

I know that HAGS technically is supposed to be good for latency in gaming, etc. because it moves scheduling tasks from the CPU to the GPU. My speculation was that the Hardware accelerated GPU scheduling added a load onto the GPU which Nvidia reflex does not account for. Because the design of Reflex is to prevent latency induced by a GPU bound scenario with using a dynamic frame cap and a bunch of other tweaks.
