The US Navy has accepted delivery of its newest Virginia-class fast attack submarine, the future USS Idaho, marking another step in the service’s effort to strengthen undersea warfare capabilities.
The submarine and crew will complete further tests and trials before commissioning, which is expected in early 2026.
