Why I Shoot on White I didn’t invent the white background — Richard Avedon did it long before I ever picked up a camera. But I use it because it strips everything back. No clutter. No landscape. Just the human, standing there, honest and unfiltered. In Mongolia, I shot portraits of both the Eagle Hunters and the Reindeer Herders this way. Because their stories are powerful — and I wanted to show them in a way that makes you stop. This isn’t just about a cool shot. It’s about building something.
