Archival footage has surfaced of “Crash Brown,” the legendary stunt driver from Sumner County who thrilled local audiences in the 1950s. Born John Timothy Brown near Westmoreland, Tennessee, Crash was the son of a Methodist minister and began performing daring car stunts as a teenager. He quickly became a local sensation, touring the region with high-risk driving exhibitions.
